“One can say without exaggeration that inflation is an indispensable means of militarism,” Ludwig von Mises wrote. “Without it, the repercussions of war on welfare become obious much more quickly and penetratingly; war weariness would set in much earlier.”

As I see things, the truly vital issues are quite simple. In my judgment the modern economists have, with laudable mathematical erudition, erected an imposing and analytically rigorous framework upon an inadequate foundation in respect of conceptual clarity.

"Dr. Cornellius Cotter, Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin, appeared before a special Senate committee in April, 1973. He remarked: “You know, Senator Mathias, it has been said—and, I think wisely so—that if the United States ever developed into a totalitarian state we ould not know it. We would not know that it had happened. It would be all so gradual, the ritualism would all be retained as a facade to disguise what had happened. Most people in the United States, in official position, would continue to do the sorts of things that they are doing now. The changes would have all been so subtle although so fundamental that people generally would be unaware.”

The good news is that hashing algorithms (assuming you didn't roll your own, God forbid) were designed by professional mathematicians and cryptographers who knew what they were doing.

We index data in these entities by storing indexes in separate MySQL tables. If we want to index three properties in each entity, we will have three MySQL tables - one for each index. If we want to stop using an index, we stop writing to that table from our code and, optionally, drop the table from MySQL. If we want a new index, we make a new MySQL table for that index and run a process to asynchronously populate the index without disrupting our live service.

This is the origin of the condition that macro-economists so inappropriately call “increasingly deficient aggregate effective demand.”

To recapitulate, it is through restraints on the coordinative process that the source of demands can come to be cumulatively constrained. This is the origin of the condition that macro-economists so inappropriately call “increasingly deficient aggregate effective demand.” Through such constraints, employment outlets remain available only at continuously falling real remuneration. The process can be reversed by unemployed (or sub-optimally employed) persons accepting jobs at labor costs which are related to current prospects of yields.

Of course the restoration of employment is compatible “with the real wage-rate unchanged,” in the sense of the average wage-rate, provided unemployed workers are reckoned in the averages as having a wage-rate of nil.
